The Clothes Closet

Clothes ClosetThe Clothes Closet is a ministry brought to Incarnation from the St. Francis Mission when the two congregations merged in 2006. Originally called the Children's Closet, the ministry was dedicated to providing free clothing to children in the community. Recently it has been expanded to provide free clothing to adults as well as children. Similar to the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul in mission, it differs because all clothing is given free of charge. Also similar to several assistance and/or welfare programs, our program differs in that there are no qualifying questions or forms. The clothing is intended for children in need as they grow and adults who may not be able to obtain clothing in any other manner, for example, those just being released from the Pre-Release Center. However, we will give clothing to anyone who asks - we ask no questions.

The Clothes Closet is open every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Church, 600 3rd Avenue North.

How can I help?

Clothes ClosetThere are two ways in which people can help. First, we need clothing to fulfil our ministry. We ask that all donated clothing be washed and folded (or hung on hangers) and delivered to the Church. Second, we have a real need for volunteers to sort clothing and to work the store during the hours we are open. If you can help, please call the Church office at 453-4167. Thank you and God Bless!
